It is 1 month to my Conferral Ceremony in NUI Maynooth, I am sort of looking forward to it but I don't really know what difference it will make in the current climate.

Following my recent search for details of John Gillis 1900( in picture)
This was my Great Great Grandfather, a bit further back than we originally thought.
His residence was Ardarragh, Killashandra, Co. Cavan. I am trying to get the records for Bawnboy, this was a workhouse where people were sent if they were sick, as there was no state aid in them days. He does not show up on the 1901 census or the 1911 census so I would feel he died in 1900-1901 or was in the workhouse at the time. The picture was taken by a photographer named Younge, they lived in Kildallan, Killashandra and also took a photo of John's daughter in law in 1905/6, his son John  died in 1904. he was also in  Bawnboy when he died.

St. Pauls Church is the oldest church on the island of Manhattan ( or so I am told), a special place well worth a visit if you get a chance. This song was inspired by a visit to Ground Zero in New York in 2007, I found St. Pauls to be a very spiritual place and a very calming place. Before I left I had the words for this song, God knows where they came from. It is my first time to record a complete song myself so its pot luck. I hope you enjoy it.
